Is January really gone?

I can not truly believe that January is come and gone! (and the first week of February, too! EEK!)

You'd think we've been busy, but actually we've been enjoying the slow.  We've been enjoying the cold days, and the unseasonably warm ones, too.  We've been enjoying friends.  And we've been enjoying our routine sans all the crazy the holidays bring.

We did not, however, enjoy being sick for 2 weeks.  Yea...true story.

The boys are doing very well in school.  Learning lots and I'm loving seeing the "light bulbs" continuing to go off.  Evan is excelling in Math and articulating concepts, and Drew is just enjoying school-things more, which is wonderful.  We recently purchased Rosetta Stone to help teach the boys Spanish.  We started it after the new year and it's been great -- they're both really enjoying it and I think I'll be better at my own feeble Spanish skills by the time we're done!

Scot and I are doing well, too.  In general, I think the whole family operates better when we live life at a simpler pace.  It's hard to pick and choose, but when we make the effort, we remember why it's so important for us to not get wrapped up in the go-go-go busy-busy-busy that is so easy to get sucked into!

So here's to a slower 2015.  Full of friends and family, memories and laughter, fun and adventures.

And now, the photos. :D

My sweet boys.  They are best friends and still loves.

Enjoying a snowy day from indoors!  hot cocoa, stories, games...it was wonderful.

Along with sledding, the boys favorite snow activity would have to be building snowmen!

Sillies...all three of them and I love it!

 1...2...3...HIKE!
...a 70 degree day in late-January.   Oh yea...
